Searching for the Head of the Nike

Once found peace has overtones of sadness and confusion - what should have protected the child changes and strikes out - as she would also like to do. Yet in her confusion, she does not yet realize she is sitting on the Nike's head, and must only reach deep enough inside to find it. (The Nike of Samothrace - Winged Victory - is a symbol of freedom and triumph. The head, missing from the sculpture, is the source of intuition and also spawns the courage to fly.)
